Abstract

This article presents a new perspective on the integration of personalized teaching in the complementary subjects of art education and technological education, with the participation of an educational and vocational workshop (informal classroom) in a special school. The main objective is to investigate the interaction between young students with intellectual disabilities and a teacher with hearing difficulties in the classroom. This method was based on a qualitative, experimental and analytical approach, which includes a documentary review and personal cases from multiple sources on inclusive education and adaptations for the creation of educational materials, integrating topics such as healthy eating and artistic activities in different didactic activities. The results consist of the variation to the study on the proposal ‘Digital Adventures: Magical Nutrition forAll’ (in Spanish) to describe the context focused on food and nutrition education. The discussion focuses on various aspects of enhancing inclusive interaction toward innovative pedagogical practice and social integration through artistic and technological activities. In conclusion, it is necessary to renew support for the work done by students with intellectual disabilities, regardless of their abilities, through art, technology, the promotion of an inclusive society based on tolerance, and the promotion of a healthy life; in addition, the labor inclusion of professionals with disabilities must be promoted, ensuring their active participation in the educational environment.
