When referring to diabetes mellitus (DM), we are talking about a metabolic disease that involves chronically high blood glucose levels, mediated by genetic and environmental factors. It is worth noting the worrying increase in this pathology throughout the world, which can cause morbidity and mortality problems in the person who suffers from it.
In this sense, a series composed of two publications is presented, which includes, on the one hand, the planning, schedule and distribution of sessions and content and, on the other hand, the implementation and use of ICT.
In this first article, the main objective is –based on a detailed study of the variables that make up and influence DM– to provide nutritional recommendations to the adult diabetic population of the Region of Murcia in the facilities of the health centers of each basic health zone.
