Tuberculosis: Revisión Actualizada de Patología, Diagnóstico, Tratamiento y Prevención

La tuberculosis (TB) es una enfermedad infecciosa de gran relevancia a nivel global, causante de alta morbilidad y mortalidad, y presenta desafíos tanto en su diagnóstico como en su tratamiento. Este artículo revisa los aspectos claves de la TB, incluyendo su patología, diagnóstico, tratamiento, epidemiología, prevención y las posibles complicaciones que pueden surgir. Se destaca la necesidad de un enfoque multifacético e integrado para combatir eficazmente la TB, considerando tanto aspectos médicos como sociales. Se discuten las nuevas técnicas de diagnóstico y los avances en el tratamiento, pero también se enfatiza la necesidad de mejorar el acceso a estas herramientas en áreas de alta prevalencia. El control y la prevención de la TB sigue siendo un desafío significativo que requiere esfuerzos y compromisos globales sostenidos.
